Play-Topia and Farrah

Went to PlayTopia with Farrah this Wednesday! She had a blast and when Kathi showed up with Molly (4) and Billy (2,5) it became even better :) Here's some pictures

Driving and Spelling

Just realized that I drive 47 km on an ordinary day. If I go to town for dinner, it's an extra 150km or so..

And I received a letter for Ms Christina Lissdoig! Hilarious :)

Black Water Rafting!

This Saturday we went black water rafting in Waitomo! It was such an awesome and cool (as in both amazing and cold) experience :)

We bought pictures from the whole thing and I'll update them when I get them ^^ we shared the price and right now Stephanie has them. 30 bucks seems a bit juice just for pictures.. (around 165 kronor)

But it was really nice and I highly recommend it to anyone who gets the opportunity to do it!

Farming and more accidents

Today I went with Mitchie on the farm to help feed the calves. I always like going out there and this time it turned out to be a bit more exciting than expected! It appears that fender-benders run in the family cause when Mitchie was going to bring the feeder, connected to the four wheeler, out of the paddock she did a too sharp turn. I was standing ready at the gate (to shut it before the calves get out behind the four wheeler) and saw it all happen. The feeder started tipping and pulling the four wheeler with it, then the link between the two broke and the feeder ended up upside down in the grass and thankfully the four wheeler turned back and didn't roll over. Those four wheelers are massive and you certainly don't want to get one of them on top of you! 

Don't have any pictures of the feeder, but I'll update it  when I take one.

Horizontal bungee and Lava Bar

This is what happens at Lavas on a Wednesday!

Huge potatoes and well, that's it really

 Found a big as potato when making the girls dinner today!

 So of course, the first thing I did was carve a face on it!

MacLeay was helping out too. And we called him Mr Potatohead.

Then we ate him. Yum!

First day of spring and car accidents

We've had our first day of spring on this side of the globe. And I've had my first car accident.

It was not really a big thing but still kind of scary. When I was driving in about 100 km\h the concrete road suddenly changed to a gravel one.. So when I panicked and hit the breaks the car drifted out of my control. Can't really remember anything from when the car left the road to when it stopped, apart from that I saw an electric pole speeding towards my side window. 

Thankfully I didn't hit it, or anything else! And thank god I didn't have the kids in the car..

You don't want to find pieces of you car in the ditch..

Here's the pole I almost got smashed into.. and you can see my car tracks deep in the ground. 

But I'm not hurt and there is no need to worry about me. I'll even go to the doctor on Monday to make sure nothing's wrong. Even though I don't think the fee of 50$ (275kr) is gonna give me much.

What a day...
